Meet The Hanover Theatre’s Christmas Carolers

It’s time to ring in the holiday season with The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts! And in the words of Buddy the Elf, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” Thus, we’d like to introduce you to our newest addition to the family, The Hanover Theatre’s Christmas Carolers, who will make their debut at the Carroll Plaza Lighting this Saturday, November 10th at 4:30pm. This stunning quartet of vocalists led by Worcester native, Steve Gagliastro, will be spreading good cheer around Worcester county at a wide array of events, including The City of Worcester’s Annual Festival of Lights, Grafton Celebrates the Holidays, Mercantile Holiday Lunch, Wachusett Mountain’s Polar Express and many more!

DAWN TUCKER (Soprano)

Dawn Tucker appeared in The Hanover Theatre’s 2015 cast of A Christmas Carol. Favorite roles include Parthy in Showboat (Fiddlehead at The Shubert), Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music (NSMT), Marie in Most Happy Fella (Gloucester Stage), Mme. Renaud in La Cage aux Folles (Ogunquit), Heidi in Follies (Lyric Stage), Ida Straus in Titanic (Foothills), and Amalia in She Loves Me (MMAS). Dawn teaches voice and theater and graduated from Stanford and The Boston Conservatory.

KAT MURPHY O’CONNOR (Alto)

Kat Murphy O’Connor is super excited to be working with The Hanover Theatre for the first time! Her past credits include Lempicka and Late Night Cabaret (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Cabaret (Kensington Arts), Scarred for Life, The Threepenny Opera, Women on the Verge/Nervous Breakdown, Marat/Sade, and No, No, Nanette (American University). Additional credits include Into the Woods, Two Gentlemen of Verona: the Musical and Almost, Maine (Weston Drama Workshop).

DAN ALLISON (Tenor)

Dan Allison, a native of Sutton, MA, has a passion for vocal music. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Connecticut. From 2010-2013 he served as music director and founding member of a professional a cappella group that toured North America and Europe exclusively aboard Celebrity Cruise Lines. His current ensemble, Drive, is the 2016 Barbershop Harmony Society Northeastern District Quartet Champion and regularly competes at the international level. Dan is thrilled to be a part of The Hanover Theatre’s A Christmas Carol family and is excited about spreading holiday cheer with his fellow carolers!

ALEXANDER HOLDEN (Bass)

Alexander Holden is excited to be part of The Hanover Theatre’s Christmas Carolers. Alexander is originally from Japan and his passion for music has led him to study at Carnegie Mellon University as a Vocal Performance Major. Alexander’s latest appearance was in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Dream Role Players as “Lysander.”
