This past holiday season the City of Worcester created the “Let There Be Light Creative Display Contest”, which encouraged participating businesses on Main Street to decorate their window displays for a chance to win some great prizes. This contest was a special initiative created to bring festive holiday lighting to downtown Worcester, which sparked creativity and drew people into the city during the holiday season. The general public was encouraged to vote for their favorite creative display by visiting the participating business and filling out a ballot between November 30-January 2, 2013.

As part of the first annual “Let There Be Light Creative Display Contest”, we at the theatre were honored to take first place. We would like to thank everyone who stopped in and voted. A special thanks to our operations manager and director of education, Meghan Patrick; inventory manager, David McArthur; facilities manager, Ted Hudson; facilities associates, Dan Friend and Stan Tarka; special events coordinator, Mark Steina; as well as countless volunteers who worked feverishly on a spectacular holiday window scene which brought holiday cheer to theatre patrons and downtown pedestrians.
