Behind the Scenes with The Muse

The Hanover Theatre’s Lisa Condit spoke with John Rinaldo of The Muse, a craft beer and artisanal spirits bar located just across the street from the theatre. The Muse is a part of our Share Something Wonderful grand prize giveaway and a Gourmet Program partner. Read on for highlights from this week’s Behind the Scenes interview, or listen to the entire interview below.

John: I have to give a big shout-out to Alan Lopez, who was the forerunner in the craft beer movement here in the city. He was definitely an inspiration to us and The Muse. Me and my business partner Matt Kingman both have a love for craft beer and craft cocktails and were looking to do something different because we wanted to change the culture in the city. We felt that this area of the city was definitely going to change too, and we wanted to be a part of the theatre district when we were coming up with the name and the concept. We thought The Muse would play in really nicely.

Lisa: Tell us a little bit about how you select the beers you have on tap.

John: I like good beer. So that’s a big part of it. You find things you like, and you want to share that with people and get them to experience that also. We’ve been really fortunate to be able to experience some amazing products.
